Mr Luke
Luke Molkentin is a talented multi-instrumentalist and passionate guitarist whose dedication to music has quickly made him one to watch in the local scene. Currently completing a Bachelor of Music at Macquarie University, Luke combines technical skill with creative artistry to inspire students of all ages and levels.
A high academic achiever, Luke graduated in 2022 with an impressive ATAR of 81.5, earning a Band 6 in Music. Having played guitar since the age of 10, he has spent countless hours refining his technique, tone, and performance style - both in the studio and on stage.
In 2025, Luke’s performance career has taken off, sharing stages with artists such as country performer Faith Williams at major local events including Glenworth Grazing Festival. Deeply connected to the Central Coast music community, he is also a regular contributor to local church music programs, playing guitar and managing live sound for large-scale events such as community Christmas carols.
When not performing, Luke can be found in his home studio writing, recording, and producing music inspired by Americana and modern rock influences. Drawing inspiration from acclaimed slide guitarists Joey Landreth and Ariel Posen, Luke’s playing is known for its soulful expression and authentic storytelling.
As a teacher, Luke brings that same passion to every lesson. His approach is warm, encouraging, and highly individualised - whether guiding a complete beginner through their first chords or helping advanced students master tone, feel, and improvisation. Luke’s enthusiasm for the guitar is contagious, and his students thrive under his supportive and motivating guidance.
